"glocal" perspective

Firmly established locally, but with a global outlook

ERF’s  trajectory is based on a powerful presence in Barcelona and Catalonia and wide knowledge about the local territory and conditions in the regional environment. Building on the company’s experience in this local territory, we generate ideas and implement projects with a global vision, developing and promoting the lessons learned around the world.

Deploying a team of qualified and experienced professionals, ERF has worked on many social and environmental projects in Latin America (Paraguay, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala and Chile). The most recent were in Paraguay and Peru. In Paraguay, ERF was a partner in establishing a sustainable building project for the Water Museum and won the international call for proposals launched by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to develop executive and museum design projects for three new tourist resorts in Asunción, Filadelfia and Iguazu, promoted by the Paraguayan Government’s National Secretariat for Tourism. In Peru, UNDP awarded ERF the contract to provide technical assistance for the climate, energy and socio-environmental aspects of the Lima-Callao Metropolitan Plan, promoted by the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima. Additionally, over the last five years we have worked in Great Britain, Portugal, Poland, Turkey and Dubai, on sustainable building, sustainable territory and awareness-raising projects.

ERF has also designed and developed many projects with an international perspective. These include the Environmental Atlas of the Mediterranean, the Latin American Forum of Environmental Sciences, the exhibitions “Inhabiting the World” (for the Universal Forum of Cultures) and “Two Million Centuries” for Argentina Pavilion at the Lisbon Universal Exposition, and the Enciclopedia Biosfera [Biosphere Encyclopaedia],which has been translated into English, German and Japanese.
